Setting Up of a Regional Branch of a International Engineering Cosulting Firm
Successfully set up a new branch and a regional Infrastructure hub of a multi-national organisation in UAE. In addition to the office set up, mandate included business development, bidding, contracts negotiations with Clients, ensuring adequate resources and talented staff were recruited and made available for all projects, and leading all projects as a project director.
The organisation was securely established in the regional market and worked on numerous high-profile projects in the region.
Value Engineering For An Infrastructure Design
Successfully led the value engineering efforts that resulted in a AU$900 million reduction in the construction cost of a brand-new international airport.
Revitalising an Engineering Business Unit
A struggling engineering department required improved client relationships, stronger technical resources, financial stabilisation and completion of outstanding project deliverables.
Moein led the recovery effort, helping restore the department's operational and financial position and return it to a sustainable footing.
Recovering a Major Infrastructure Project
Moein was brought in to support the recovery of a major infrastructure project facing significant delivery and client-relationship challenges.
His role included supporting project leadership, rebuilding the client relationship, motivating the team, resolving key issues and negotiating the fee for the remaining works.
The project was successfully brought back on track.
Developing Management Systems & Achieving ISO Certification
Initiated and managed the development of systems and practices that contributed to the successful ISO 9001 certification of a multinational engineering consultancy.
